Please note that John O. Welch was appointed Master of the Eastern District of Ohio (Youngstown Diocese) and served 4 years from 1985 to 1988. In 1988 the first realignment of most Fourth Degree Districts in the Order was completed by the Supreme Council. Ohio went from a District in each Diocese (6) to four Districts. The new Ohio District One consisted of Assemblies in the Youngstown Diocese and the Cleveland Diocese. However, three Youngstown Diocese Assemblies were assigned to the new Ohio District Two and two Cleveland Diocese Assemblies were assigned to the new Ohio District Four. John O. Welch became Master of the New Ohio District One in 1988 and served until 1990. (There were two more realignments, 1994 and 2005 in Ohio)
